I’m really glad people on the internet convinced me to check out Yugioh Arc-V, because among other things, like all recurring female characters being actually decent and proactive and not relentlessly sidelined—I am flabbergasted—it also has a scene where two guys parry each other with their duel disks like they were light sabers.

It owns.

While I haven’t watched any Yu-Gi-Oh series in a very long time I can’t help but think the writers get bored of card games and just want to do ridiculous typical Shonen action shit because I’ll see scenes like this when I watch an opening compilation or hear about a particularly detail from the series.
